Rebuilt the query path behind a financial analytics API
30–35s → 3–5s
cold query in production
A financial detail report query over an indexed 519M-row table took 30–35 seconds to load. In production it now returns in about 3–5 seconds from a cold cache and 0.8–1.6 seconds once warm.
The same endpoint measures about 13s cold on a single nonprod node, about 7s on two-replica staging, and 3–5s on the three-replica production service. ClickHouse parallel replicas (max_parallel_replicas = 3) split the reads from Google Cloud Storage across the replicas, and a GLOBAL IN subquery broadcasts the visibility key set once from the coordinator so every replica probes the same set, removing 2x redundant dictionary reads at three replicas. Earlier steps: a closed-form intDiv bucket replaced a Clickhouse arrayFilter lambda running ~7B comparisons over 519M rows (9.2s → 2.5s), and pulling a dictionary probe out of PREWHERE took staging from 12.19s to 0.43s.

Built a GenAI assistant that redlines contracts against Legal's playbooks
4–5 → 2–3 months
average B2B contract cycle time, 40–50% shorter
A full-stack GenAI assistant (Django, Flask) that helps Visa's Legal team redline contracts against their escalation and negotiation playbooks. It started at a hackathon and became a company-supported initiative, one of Visa's first internal GenAI initiatives, showcased at the Q4 2024 RSDP Tech Town Hall. In UAT with the Legal team, the first version cut manual review time by about 30% and found the right clause in the top 3 results about 90% of the time. Later versions helped bring average B2B contract cycle time down 40–50%, from about 4–5 months to 2–3 months across 2024.
Playbooks and contracts are parsed with pypdf and python-docx, chunked with LangChain's RecursiveCharacterTextSplitter using custom delimiter tokens for each redline type, embedded with text-embedding-ada-002 and stored in an on-prem Chroma vector database. The Flask backend runs vector searches and grounds GPT-3.5 redline suggestions, while a weekly pipeline re-ingests new negotiation examples from the Legal team. I processed 300+ contracts during the hackathon alone.

Built the Claude Code workflow my team ships with
days → a checklist
new-app setup
Standing up a new app on a Module Federation micro-frontend platform used to mean days of hunting down the right steps. I turned that into Claude Code skills the whole team runs, and built the workflow around them: skills that take a work item written in one agreed structure, start the work and publish a pull request for review, plus ADR tracking, spec docs, incident write-ups and knowledge tracking.
Skills built on the Azure CLI read a PBI (itself drafted by Claude Code in the agreed structure), start the work and open a PR for the team to review. A remote-onboarding skill scaffolds a BFF and UI end to end, and companion skills ship PRs, deploy and generate tests, removing a 15–30 minute lookup per PR or deployment. I also laid the foundation for spec-driven development on larger platform features.

Replacing a Tableau product with a real web app
519M rows
queried in 3–5s cold, in production
Retail Pricing: Benchmark started life as a Tableau-based analytics product. Our team rebuilt it as a purpose-built web app for real-time, interactive pricing decisions, and the team won a Q3 2026 Innovation Excellence Award for it. I built the .NET 10 API behind it and tuned the ClickHouse queries until its heaviest report came back in 3–5 seconds cold in production.
The API originally sat on MongoDB, which was too slow to filter millions of rows with heavily duplicated vehicle hierarchies, so I moved it to ClickHouse. The first highlight covers the query work in detail.

Writing the platform down so other teams could ship on it
9 infrastructure docs
plus architecture sessions for onboarding teams
As more teams plugged apps into the platform, they kept hitting the same environment problems, from local development through production. I ran architecture sessions for them and wrote the answers down as nine infrastructure docs, structured so engineers and AI agents can both look things up. It earned me a Tech Excellence Award in Q2 2026.
The docs cover things like OIDC callback error routing, token refresh and session expiry, nginx security hardening, ClickHouse schema CI patterns and API client patterns. I also advised teams on project planning, data-layer design and service-account impersonation.

Built a real-time cardholder benefit redemption pipeline
99.99% uptime
100K+ events a day
The first real-time benefit redemption processing system between the Visa Card Eligibility Service (VCES) and the Visa Digital Benefits Platform (VDBP). It moves 100K+ cardholder benefit redemption events a day at that uptime.
Dockerized ActiveMQ Artemis message brokers with a .NET Core AMQPS producer and a Spring Boot Jakarta JMS consumer, holding event latency under 200ms.
